World major coffee producers’ ranking

According to the National Geographic world’s biggest coffee producer is Brazil with 22.5 million bags annually, where one bag means 60 kilos. This stands for almost one third of the world coffee production. On the second place is Colombia (10,5 million bags), for which coffee is one of the most important export products.

Indonesia takes third place in this ranking with 6.7 million bags and is especially well known as world largest robusta beans producer. Just behind Indonesian islands is Vietnam and Mexico with coffee production above 5 million bags. Subsequent places belong to Ethiopia, India, Guatemala, Côte d’Ivoire and Uganda, where production in each of this countries varies around 3 millions bags.
